A Ruler for Windows is a free on-screen pixel ruler for your PC. It provides you your choice between a rich wood-grain ruler, or at the touch of a button, a clear see-through plastic ruler.

With A Ruler for Windows you can use your screen normally while layering one or more rulers over of your work. As you can see through the clear plastic ruler you can even continue your typing under it.

Special 2x, 3x, and 4x modes allow you to take a snapshot of your whole screen and magnify it so you can measure between very fine points more easily. The ruler can be flipped horizontally or vertically, resized to an exact length or resized by dragging it to a desired length. Ticks can be placed on which ever long edge you prefer.
