SharedMinds Desktop
With SharedMinds Desktop you'll be able to keep track of all the latest movements in your Twitter account. The program will let you check your timeline, view replies and direct messages, follow trending topics, search Twitter for specific keywords, etc.
SharedMinds Desktop supports multiple accounts and has a highly configurable interface that reminds me a bit of an email desktop client: tree-like folder structure on the left, list of messages displayed in the central panel, contents of selected message on the right. Generally speaking, SharedMinds Desktop worked fine during our tests – though a bit cumbersome sometimes – and proved to be a handy way to manage multiple Twitter accounts, though unfortunately the interface doesn't separate different accounts too clearly.
